Recent changes to construction law have included the introduction of a new “urban areas” construction area category. Municipalities are now permitted to offer living space in neighbourhoods that are already very built up, and where businesses and apartments are located in close proximity.

The modern box window
The "GEALAN Hafen-City-Fenster" is a combination of the GEALAN-KUBUS® and GEALAN S 9000 systems. Both individual elements have been brought together to form a single unit, using an assembly frame developed in-house. Rotary opening to the inside makes the windows easy and straightforward to clean; essentially, the tried-and-tested principle of the box window has been applied to a modern window design.
